Projects

Ames Housing Project

Predicting House Prices with Regression Models

What are the most important factors in predicting the cost of a house? Is it the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and square footage? How important is the neighborhood? What about basements or garages? This project explores the cost of houses in Ames, Iowa based on the Ames Housing dataset. Follow this link to read more about my findings.

Reddit's Mixed Feelings on the Mueller Investigation

Using NLP and classification models to predict which of two subreddits a post came from

Reddit is the self-proclaimed "front page of the internet." As one of the most visited sites on the internet, reddit can give clear insights into current social trends. In this project, I explored which factors were most important in determining whether a given post came from a subreddit supporting President Trump, or a subreddit supporting Robert Mueller. Factors investigated include the titles and comments of posts, what domains each post linked to, and the number of comments on a given post. Visit this link to learn more about my findings

Interests

Apart from being a data scientist, I love to travel, hike, and go to concerts. When forced indoors, I'm a huge fan of sci-fi and fantasy novels and podcasts, and I spend a large amount of my free time exploring the latest technology advancements in the data science world.
